At Urban Farmer, we are on a mission to repurpose industrial and commercial spaces using the state-of-the-art vertical technology to grow and distribute produce that is safe, nutritious, and sufficient to feed every African living in an urban city.

 

Leafy green vegetables in African cities are unsafe, dirty, travelled hundreds of miles and insufficient to feed Africa’s urban population.

 

Africa’s population is projected to grow from its current 1.3 billion to 2.4 billion inhabitants 2050. 23%more arable land will be required, 2 out of 3 will live in urban town, current farming practices cannot support.

At Urban Farmer, we did not set out to improve agriculture as it exist. Our goal is to set the stage for a revolution in the way we grow and consume food especially in African Urban cities.

We use 95% less water, 95% less land, 95% less fossil fuel, and 0% pesticides than conventional farms.

​

Our produce are fresh because they are grown in the demand centers, and safe because they dont go through multiple hands, and they are valuable because of zero (0) health risk compared to out growers.

We care enough about the health and wellbeing of our urban communities to reduce nutrition hunger and inequities.

 

We also care about the interest of our investors who believed in us from the very beginning, the team who break their back to make Urban Farmer a reality and finally to our customers for their loyalty.
